How eCommunity
Came About

As a property owner and condominium resident himself, Mr. KB Lim (our Founder) identified many gaps and issues in the traditional way of managing condominiums and properties. From unaddressed complaints to tedious manual processes, the conventional method of community management is often outdated and cumbersome.

Seeing the challenges faced by many property owners and management bodies, we believed there had to be a better solution. This inspired Mr. KB Lim to create an all-in-one community management app that provides property managers such as JMBs, MCs, RAs and property management companies with a more efficient and effective way to manage their communities.

Through eCommunity, residents can enjoy a more convenient and efficient way to report complaints and issues, allowing management teams to respond and resolve them more quickly. The eCommunity app also enables faster and easier payment collection, reducing administrative burdens while promoting a more organised financial system. With better community management, residents can enjoy a safer, more organised and more comfortable living environment.

2015

Founding Days

We founded and setup up our HQ in Kuala Lumpur as the ideal location for us to understand and address the pain points of property managers and residents alike. With the largest population of property owners and residents, we are perfectly positioned to develop solutions that meet the needs of the community.

2016

App Launch and MD Status Attained

In 2016, we launched the first version of our eCommunity app, marking the beginning of our journey into community & property management. This milestone was a significant accomplishment for our Team, as it represented the culmination of months of hard work and dedication. In addition, we attained “MD (Malaysia Digital) Status”, which is testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence. This recognition inspired us to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible and to strive for even greater achievements in the future.

2018

Version 2.0 & Nationwide Expansion

eCommunity Version 2.0 was introduced with enhanced features and improved user experience. During this period, we expanded our services across all states in Malaysia, enabling more communities, property managers and residents to benefit from a smarter and more efficient property management system.

2021

Widely Recognized and Awarded

We expanded into East Malaysia and received several prestigious awards, including “TOP 10” and “Highest Votes Polled” placings at the Create @ Alibaba Cloud Global Startup Contest 2021 and “1st Runner Up” at the Alibaba Cloud Demo Day 2021. These accolades validated our unwavering commitment towards innovation and excellence, and have motivated us to continue pushing boundaries.

2024

Outstanding Growth Partner Award

eCommunity was honoured with the Outstanding Growth Partner 2024 Award at the FIUU Appreciation Night. This recognition reflects our continued efforts in driving innovation and providing seamless digital solutions that empower communities and property managers.

2025

Regional Expansion: Singapore & Vietnam

eCommunity expanded its presence beyond Malaysia by entering the Singapore and Vietnam markets. This milestone marks an important step in our mission to build a regional smart community platform, bringing digital property management solutions to more communities across Southeast Asia.
